Business Makeover Winner & Update

The Fab 5 of the Business Makeover

The Fab 5 of the Business Makeover

In April of 2021, we announced the winner of the Business Makeover. This sweepstakes offered one Florida small business an opportunity of a lifetime: a complete business makeover!

Local Union paired up with four other business experts to offer a holistic revamp:

So where are we in the process?

The winner is…

Natural Awakening Essentials!

Owned and operated by couple Chelsea and Calen, Natural Awakening Essentials is an all-natural, toxic-free skincare company. After searching for natural skin remedies for his own skin, Calen quickly found it difficult to find non-toxic, good-for-you skin products out in the market (at an affordable price).

That’s when Chelsea and Calen decided to make a skincare line of their own!

Natural Awakenings was born. After testing different products, they have chosen four incredible options for their customer’s needs: face & body scrubs, healing serums, soap bars, and body butter!

The couples is on a mission to empower others by sharing their mantra: what you put on your skin is just as important as what you put in your body.

The first step of the Business Makeover is Business Planning & Finance. Local Union sat down with Chelsea and Caylin to discuss initial business planning and consulting.

While the couple has dedicated hours to product research and quality skincare, they had little background in business operations. Luckily, we were paired up to ensure they remain profitability, ensure product quality, and create a compelling, beloved brand!

After one meeting, Natural Awakening was able to refine their mission, strategy, and customer profile.

Their Vision

Natural Awakening offers body products that are beneficial for the skin, the heart, and the earth.

Their Mission

All-natural skincare company handcrafting high quality, non-toxic products for free-spirited people.

Company Motto

Feel good, look good.

YES!

Next step in the Business Makeover process?

The strategy and customer profile will be sent to Kaylin of Kay Coastal Designs, where they will design logos, business cards, marketing material, and labels for the product line.
